From open lawns to charming neighborhood parks, these are some of our favorite places to let the kids run free along 30A.
The beach might be the main attraction along 30A, but sometimes kids just need a big patch of grass, room to run, and a little freedom to play. Fortunately, several of 30A's beach communities have beautiful green spaces perfect for an afternoon of tag, a family picnic, or simply burning off some energy.
Whether you're looking for a spacious lawn near restaurants or a quieter neighborhood green, here are some of our favorite spots to enjoy with kids along 30A.
1. Western Green — Rosemary Beach
Located on the Gulf side of Rosemary Beach, Western Green is a beautiful grassy gathering space surrounded by the town's signature architecture and coastal landscaping.
It's a lovely spot for kids to run around, play simple lawn games, or enjoy an afternoon outdoors. Its location near Main Street makes it easy to pair playtime with a stroll through town or a stop for something to eat.
Best for: Open lawn play, picnics, and exploring Rosemary Beach.
2. Eastern Green — Rosemary Beach
On the opposite side of Rosemary Beach, Eastern Green offers another beautiful stretch of grass near the Gulf. Set away from the busiest part of the town center, it has a more peaceful neighborhood feel.
Bring a blanket, enjoy the coastal breeze, and let the kids enjoy some outdoor play. It's a particularly nice option when you're looking for something quieter than the main square.
Best for: Relaxed afternoons, casual games, and quieter family time.
3. Alys Beach Amphitheatre — Alys Beach
With its beautifully maintained lawn, gentle grassy slopes, and iconic white architecture, the Alys Beach Amphitheatre is one of the prettiest outdoor gathering spaces along 30A.

4. 30Avenue Green — Inlet Beach
Located at the eastern gateway to 30A, 30Avenue offers a welcoming central lawn surrounded by restaurants, shops, and outdoor seating.
While the green is smaller than some of the other spaces on this list, it's a convenient place for kids to stretch their legs and enjoy casual play while the family spends time outdoors.
With restaurants just steps away and regular live music and community events, it's an especially easy stop for families who want to combine playtime with dinner.

6. Cerulean Park — WaterColor
Tucked into WaterColor near the town center, Cerulean Park offers a different kind of green space. Instead of one expansive open field, you'll find landscaped gardens, grassy areas, shaded pathways, and a beautiful cascading fountain.
It's a wonderful place for younger kids to explore, enjoy a picnic, or play quieter games on the grass. The surrounding walking paths and gardens make it especially enjoyable for families looking for a peaceful outdoor outing.

With Ed Walline Regional Beach Access directly across 30A, you can easily turn your visit into an afternoon of both grassy playtime and beach fun.
Best for: Bigger lawn games, running around, and spending an afternoon outdoors.
Tips for Visiting 30A's Green Spaces
Many of these lawns double as gathering places for concerts, markets, and community events, so it's worth checking local event calendars before heading out.
Some green spaces are located within privately managed communities. Respect posted access rules, residential areas, landscaping, and any temporary lawn closures. Public access to a town center does not necessarily include private beach accesses or other community amenities.
Pack a blanket, water, sunscreen, and a small ball or Frisbee where lawn games are permitted.
